Meet Bryan C. Sharpe, MD

Serving all three locations
Dr. Bryan C. Sharpe

Trained in the Classroom and in Service

Dr. Sharpe brings nearly four decades of medical experience to his patients. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 1985, followed by a general surgery residency at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. After completing his residency, he fulfilled his commitment to the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a flight surgeon caring for pilots and aircrew.

He then completed an emergency medicine residency through the Joint Military Medical Centers in San Antonio, training at both Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center, graduating in 1994.

A Quarter Century Answering the Call

Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Sharpe joined TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee in 1996 and spent 25 years there as an emergency physician. For the last eight to ten of those years, he served as both Medical Director and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine, and spent six years on the hospital’s board of trustees.

Emergency medicine, as he describes it, demands a unique skill set. “You have to be able to establish rapport with people almost instantly. You have to be charismatic enough that they sense they can trust you, be professional enough that they understand this person knows what they are doing, and be empathetic.”

SEE HOW WE CAN HELP

A New Chapter in Regenerative Medicine

In 2021, Dr. Sharpe transitioned from emergency medicine to the growing field of regenerative care, drawn by the idea of helping people before things go wrong rather than after. “It kind of occurred to me that we take better care of our cars than we do our bodies.”

After performing hundreds of joint injections and serving as medical director at a regenerative medicine clinic in Murfreesboro, he joined Tennessee Spine and Wellness. He now sees patients across the Clarksville, Tullahoma, and Brentwood locations, specializing in human cellular tissue product injections and hyaluronic acid injections for knees and shoulders.

Beyond the Practice Walls

Outside of the office, Dr. Sharpe has been married for over 30 years and has two adult daughters. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys hiking, playing guitar (classic rock and blues are his go-to), and spending time outdoors with his two golden retrievers.
